Summer Recreational Program

for experienced rowers

 

Join us on the water this summer! For the first time we are offering a summer rowing membership for experienced rowers only. For the months of July and August 2010, row with Oregon Association of Rowers! The rowing focus will be on safety, fun and fitness. The coach will be out in the launch for safety, and coaching will be provided as desired.

 

Program Dates – Sundays July 4, 11, 18, 25 and August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

You are also welcome to come to our regular team practices every Wednesday and Saturday; see details below.

 

Program Details 

 

n     Must be a former experienced master rower or former/ current collegiate rower (over 18 years of age)

n     All boats in the fleet are available to row (in order to row small boats, you must be cleared by the coach); sculling and sweep boats are available

n     Sundays at 7 am

n     No key privileges for summer program

n     Summer Recreational members will have first priority to equipment on Sundays (existing OAR members can attend Sunday practices, but will not have boat priority)

n     Can join in other OAR team practices on Wednesdays and Saturdays (but will not have boat priority at that time), or come out with permanent members at other times as arranged

n     Sunday rowing focus is on fun, fitness, and technique

n     Signed Rowing Waiver from US Rowing must be on file (can do this at first practice)

n     $75 per month fee
