WELCOME TO THE

OREGON ASSOCIATION OF ROWERS

Lowell / Dexter   Weather Forecast    and    Water Temperatures

The Oregon Association of Rowers (OAR) was formed as a non-profit corporation in 1986 to further the sport of rowing in the upper Willamette Valley. OAR is a member of USRowing. We row at Dexter Lake, fifteen miles southeast of Eugene, on Highway58.

In 1994, in cooperation with the South Eugene High School Crew, we built a 2,800 square foot boathouse adjacent to the University of Oregon boathouse. The three programs share a 20' x 80' dock.

OAR offers recreational and competitive sculling and sweep programs for all ages and abilities. We offer storage space for privately owned boats.

The Covered Bridge Regattas, held each April, regularly attract Junior, Collegiate, Open, and Masters crews from Washington, Western Oregon, and Northern California.
