About the regatta

Each year in April for more than a quarter century, OAR, along with help from the South Eugene Rowing Club and the University of Oregon Crew Team, hosts the Covered Bridge Regatta at Lowell State Park. This regatta covers two weekends; the first a one-day Collegiate event and the second a two-day Masters and Juniors event. As one of the top rowing venues in the country, the Covered Bridge Regatta now regularly draws over 40 teams hailing from Arizona to British Columbia to compete in the 8-lane fully-buoyed 2000-meter course.

Parking

Free shuttle between Lowell High School and the Park (regatta venue) starting at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, continuing as late as needed. (Or allow 10-15 minutes to walk). There will be no shuttle for the Collegiate Covered Bridge Regatta

As we are expecting many trailers and buses, tow vehicles may need to park in town after parking their boat trailers. Parking at the park is for trailers, large buses and team vans, and cars carrying singles and doubles only. Trailers and boats may be left overnight at the park’s parking lot adjacent to the launch area. The gate will be locked at dusk. The lot will be supervised, but equipment is left at your own risk.

All other participants and spectators must park in town.
