The white buoys that make up the rowing race course lanes on Dexter Lake are attached to a wires that are approximately 6-feet below the water surface. The wires run East-West with lateral wires running North-South every 250 meters.

It is safe for boaters of all types to enter the race course when there are NO ACTIVE ROWING RACES. The buoys will not damage boats and the wires that they are attached to are 6-feet below the surface.

It is not recommended to fish in the race course as it is likely that your line will get snagged on the wires or buoy lines.

Please do NOT drive boats directly over buoys as the buoys could get snagged in outboard motors.
